Copper Cascading Tree - CCT3

Creating my handmade copper cascading tree ornaments begins with a sturdy sheet of 18-gauge copper. Using my hydraulic press, I carefully cut the ornament shape with a pancake die, ensuring precision in every curve and contour. Once the basic shape is complete, I move on to the artistic phase—embossing. With the help of my holiday textured plate, I emboss an intricate design onto the ornament, adding depth and character. Next I put a wave form into all three pieces of the tree to create movement and 3-D effect.  I then attach each piece together to form the cascading tree.  Then using a torch, I carefully apply heat to the metal, gradually revealing an array of colors that emerge based on how the flame interacts with the copper.
