Paisley Stocking Ornament - CO11
Creating my handmade copper ornaments begins with a sturdy sheet of 18-gauge copper. Using my hydraulic press, I carefully cut the ornament shape with a pancake die, ensuring precision in every curve and contour. Once the basic shape is complete, I move on to the artistic phase—embossing. With the help of a textured plate, I emboss an intricate design onto the ornament, adding depth and character. Then using a torch, I carefully apply heat to the metal, gradually revealing an array of colors that emerge based on how the flame interacts with the copper. This delicate dance between fire and metal ensures that no two ornaments are alike. While the shape, texture, and hook will remain consistent with what is pictured, the coloration of each ornament can vary widely, showcasing a beautiful palette of yellows, rustic tones, greens, purples, blues, and oranges. This unpredictability is the charm of handmade art—each piece tells its own story, rich with vibrant hues that cannot be replicated.
Please note that the photo of the Paisley Ornaments showcases the variety of flame-painting effects possible. Be sure to review all images before placing your order. Keep in mind, the ornament you receive will be unique in color and will not look exactly like the one pictured.
